Our Spanish for Careers Applications class presented their first Project-Based Learning adventure of the year and proudly hosted the 8th Annual Hispanic Interactive Wax Museum! Students transformed into famous Hispanic Olympic figures, sharing incredible stories in both Spanish and English.

WPHS has won the prestigious 2024 Virginia Board of Education Continuous Improvement Exemplar Award, as well as the Continuous Improvement Graduation and Completion Index and Dropout Rate Exemplar Award! This recognition celebrates West Potomac's consistent efforts to enhance student achievement over the past three years.

Parents are invited to our Family Literacy English Classes, held on Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 6-8pm. Family Literacy English classes are for West Potomac parents and family members to learn about their child's educational journey and school supports available to them.

Students who demonstrate our core values of Collaboration, Leadership, Accountability, and Work ethic, are rewarded with C.L.A.W. cards from staff and then entered in a weekly prize drawing. Learn more about our approach to promoting positive behavior and improving school culture here.

Shout outs to our Wolverine Athletes of the Month! These student athletes are nominated by their coaches based on their performance on the team, academic achievement, and leadership.

Become a PTSA (Parent-Teacher-Student Association) Member, volunteer, or donate today! Each year, the PTSA fundraises for and supports over $6000.00 in grants. These WPHS PTSA Teacher and Staff Grants support student learning in the classroom and beyond by funding materials, projects, and experiences beyond those provided by FCPS.

All FCPS middle and high schools will host a free immunization clinic this fall in collaboration with the Fairfax County Health Department. Students must participate at the school where they are enrolled. Clinics will be held during school hours. Parents/caregivers must sign a consent form for students under 18.
