mike henrichCongratulations to Systems of Support Advisor Michael Henrich who was recognized as the FCPS 2021 Region 3 Outstanding School-Based Professional Employee and one of the six finalists for the FCPS Outstanding School-Based Operational Employee at this year's FCPS Honors event, held at Jiffy Lube Live on June 9th.

Mike strives to keep students who are traditionally disconnected engaged in school. Through individualized attention, he works with students to build a positive vision of themselves in both the short and long term. In this year of virtual learning, Mike brought school to our families by making over two hundred home visits. He initiates and manages additional academic and social encouragement through academic support, restorative student culture and whole class groups. By streamlining student information through weekly kid- talks, he brought counseling, administration, and clinical leaders together to coordinate efforts on behalf of the students. Using attendance and grade data, he was able to strategically target under-performing students and groups.

Congratulations to our following staff members who were also recognized at this year's FCPS Honors Ceremony!
