Students in the Dance Academy are stepping into vibrant costumes and studying the expressive storytelling of classical Indian dance. Thanks to a recent grant, these dancers are learning from master choreographers and preparing for a spring performances on April 24th during advisory in Kogelman Theatre.

West Potomac hosted the District X Concert Band Assessment, where all three bands earned outstanding ratings, including straight SUPERIORS for the top band's challenging Grade 6 program. Three students successfully auditioned for the prestigious All-State Bands and will perform in the All-Virginia Band, Chorus, and orchestra event in Richmond.

April is "Month of the Military Child" and Purple Up! day. Due to spring break, FCPS Purple Up! Day is scheduled for Wednesday, April 9th. West Potomac's International Night was an unforgettable evening of culture, unity, and celebration! We are committed to supporting all students with a dedicated Meditation and Silent Reflection Space in the library, available outside of instructional time. Starting Monday, March 10th students after-school must be with a teacher, sponsor, or a coach by 3:20pm, or must exit the building. Admin and security will be sweeping the building each day.
