The Rising Stars is a celebration of students who have been identified by a Wolverine Faculty member for showing great effort or improvement during the previous quarter.

Congratulations to the West Potomac High School Marching Band who competed at the James Madison University’s Parade of Champions event on Saturday, October 20th, 2018!

This summer, West Potomac High School students Peyton Burns and Brian Williams will travel to Peru and the British Virgin Islands, respectively with VISIONS Service Adventures, an international community service program for teens. They will join other high school students from around the world in these locations, where they will live in the community, get to know the local customs and traditions, and tackle ambitious service projects that demonstrate the power of teens working for change.

The Society of Virginia has named Margaret O’Meara of Alexandria the 2018 Cherry Blossom Princess. Lorraine Barclay Nordlinger, President of the Society of Virginia stated, “The Society of Virginia was very impressed with Margaret’s passion for her home state of Virginia and her involvement, leadership, and accomplishments. We are excited to have her represent the Society of Virginia in our nation’s capital during the National Cherry Blossom Festival© in Washington, DC.”

Following the exciting 2016-2017 season of Beyond the Silver Screen, with its Cappies winning show, Billy Elliot, Beyond the Page Theatre Company at West Potomac High School (BTP) begins its 33rd season, Art That Matters 2: Human Struggle.
