🎥 Lights, Camera, Save! TV Production Students Advance to National Competition
Congratulations to West Potomac’s talented TV Production students Jovanny Felix Luna, Charles Adkins, and Miguel Castillo Portillo from Mr. Johnson’s class! Their creative video, The Ballad of Billy the Spender, impressed judges in the Burke & Herbert Regional Virginia Financial Literacy Competition and earned them a spot in the American Bankers Association’s National Lights, Camera, Save! Contest.
This annual competition challenges students ages 13–18 to craft engaging 30-second videos promoting positive money management. Our students’ hard work and innovation paid off, and now they have the chance to win up to $5,000!
🗳️ Help Support Their Journey: Starting Tuesday, January 14, you can view and vote for their video on the ABA’s Instagram page. Your votes will help them advance to the final round and bring their financial literacy message to a national audience.
