Congratulations and warm appreciation to the West Potomac High School teachers and staff for receiving the Continuous Improvement Exemplar Award for 2024-25 from the Virginia Board of Education. This year only 49 schools met the criteria to receive this honor, which included demonstrating an increase in the combined rate in reading, math, and science and/or graduation and completion index (GCI).

West Potomac demonstrated an increase in the combined rate for two or more student groups in reading and math for each of the past three years (2021-2022, 2022-2023, 2023-2024), with a total increase across the three years of ten points or more.
